[Today was the day, the day to move out of his big house and head to a smaller home down in Sharnaath. The papers were set, he just needed to move his stuff out. He still had ownership of this home though, wanting his family to at least have a place to stay if they ever showed up again. He was working on tidying up Rayfa and Nahyuta's old rooms when he heard a knock on the door.
He may not have even started packing when Kay shows up at his doorstep. His two wyverns were currently perched on the roof of his home, napping away instead of pouncing the visitor. Hitesh, watching from the same window as last time, though looking more agitated than usual today.]
Well hey there Kay! Thanks for coming by to help out, though there's not a whole lot to carry out.
Hah hah, that would come in handy. [No.] We got a bit of a walk though, Sharnaath isn't exactly a block away.
[He steps back to let Kay inside.] So uh, I should have been ready to go, but I'm still haven't tidying up the old rooms. Hope you don't mind the wait.
Thanks, I appreciate it. It's Rayfa's room that needs some work. [He'll direct Kay to Rayfa's room, which was just full of a variety of gifts she had from friends. From clothes, to plushes, toys and jewelry.]
As you can see, she had a lot of friends when she was here and they showered her with gifts, myself included. [He says with a chuckle.]
[Kay can only stare in awe and wonder at all the gifts Rayfa had left behind. She almost wants to choose one as her reward. Almost. Nah, that would be a disgrace to her memory.]
He'd been unable to reach Kay throughout this whole incident. At first he'd thought she was just too distracted to answer his calls -- or maybe he was just messing up the telepathy thing somehow. But after everything had settled down and Sebastian had returned to an empty apartment, it hit him that he still had no idea where she was.
Now he's pacing back and forth in the living room, hardly able to think straight. Every now and then he starts towards the front door, only to stop as he realizes he has no idea where to start looking. What if she's hurt? What if she's been trapped somewhere by the giant creepy plants and can't get away? What if the monsters got to her? For all he knows, she could be--
He sinks on the couch, buries his face in his arms, and tries one more time to reach her through the amulet.]
[Going to Briarlan had been a snap decision, and unfortunately, Kay had not considered that Sebastian would flip out if she were gone. As she's walking home, Sebastian's voice rings out in her head, and she pauses in her tracks.]
[Kay gives Rinoa directions to a cafe with delicious pastries and of course, hot chocolate.]
See you there! I'll get us a good table.
[And by "good table" she means "a table far away from everyone else where they can talk without bothering people and without anyone else hearing them if need be".
In any case, when Rinoa gets there, she'll find Kay waving her over.]
[ Rinoa waves back when she sees Kay and walks to the table that Kay reserved for the both of them. She looks pretty chipper, and even excited to make a friend. ]
Remember that guy I was talking about? I met him again, and we're going to a karate club! [ A deep breath, then: ] Oh, and I accidentally pulled down his pants!
Somewhere during the beginning of the month.

Anyway, she does greet Dhurke with a happy wave.]
Hi, Mr. Dhurke! That's all right, I'm sure you could use an extra pair of hands.
[Her eyes flick back to the wyverns.]
...with opposable thumbs, at least.

No problem. I could help you tidy up, to make it quicker!

And then she got sent home, huh.

There's also a stuffed mitamah I'm looking for in here.

[Kay walks into the room and begins picking up more plushies, placing them in a small pile on top of Rayfa's bed.]

Shortly after the event
He'd been unable to reach Kay throughout this whole incident. At first he'd thought she was just too distracted to answer his calls -- or maybe he was just messing up the telepathy thing somehow. But after everything had settled down and Sebastian had returned to an empty apartment, it hit him that he still had no idea where she was.

He sinks on the couch, buries his face in his arms, and tries one more time to reach her through the amulet.]
Kay?
no subject
Yeah? You okay?
no subject
Kay! Where are you!? Nevermind about me, are you okay? Are you hurt?
no subject
[And possibly bruised but she can handle that on her own. Sebastian doesn't need to know that.]
I'm on my way home! I bought dinner...I mean, I'm buying it. Right now.
[Uh-oh. She kind of feels bad that she ditched him, so she's ducking into the nearest restaurant to buy takeout.]

[ IT SOUNDS SUPER URGENT!! ]

See you there! I'll get us a good table.
[And by "good table" she means "a table far away from everyone else where they can talk without bothering people and without anyone else hearing them if need be".
In any case, when Rinoa gets there, she'll find Kay waving her over.]

It's good to meet you, Kay.

[Kay holds up one of the copies of the menu and offers it to Rinoa.]
You can get hot chocolate with mint, or with cinnamon...there's a lot of different styles!
no subject
[ Free cookie! Yup, that's what she's going to order now :) ]
What are you getting?
no subject
[Once the waiter is gone, Kay steeples her fingers and places her elbows on the table.]
Okay, what's up?
