I'm all right, actually. My friends learned some things about me that I hadn't told them, but it wasn't anything I wanted to keep from them. How did you do?

When everyone aged up and down, I wasn't affected. Typical superhero world life, I guess.

I'm glad you escaped it. Was it very different from this where you're from?

[yatagarasu]

Absolutely. No one randomly grows up or grows down where I come from. There aren't any superpowers, but someone from my world arrived here and claimed to be a spirit medium.

We don't have age changes, but I could probably say we have one superpower. The person from your world was someone you hadn't met before?

[yatagarasu]

No, but she knew the same people I knew back home.

What superpower did you guys have?

Was it nice to have someone like that here, anyway?

It's called Persona. We can manifest part of our psyche to protect us. You could call them soul monsters.

[yatagarasu]

Yeah, she was nice, even though she didn't stay long.

Wait, the previous you said something about voices in his head. Spirits. Is that it?

[dormition]

I forgot that you knew me before. You could call it that. They're part of me, though, so it's not really like spirits; the voices I hear are technically coming from inside me.

[Does that make it more or less creepy? He has no idea.]

I remember that I thought it would be deafening to listen to them everyday, too.

They don't talk that much. It's not like separate people. It's individual pieces of my personality, or you could think of it as 'potential'.

Every other Persona-user just has one, though, so it's not like that's normal.

[yatagarasu]

Are there a lot of Persona-users?

[dormition]

Not very many. Perhaps a dozen or so that we know of.

[yatagarasu]

Are Akihiko and Shinji Persona-users too?

[dormition]

Oh-- yes. They didn't tell you? Ken-kun is, too, and Koromaru is normally except he arrived here without his.

[yatagarasu]

No. I probably didn't ask.

Wait. Koromaru? The dog? I placed a bid for a play date with him and his owner...

He's a very special sort of dog.

Is he a super dog? A dog hero?

[dormition]

That wouldn't be inaccurate. When we found him, he was fighting Shadows by himself to protect his shrine.

[yatagarasu]

Whoa, that's so cool! I'm guessing these are worse than normal, run-of-the-mill shadows.

[dormition]

Shadows are our enemies. You can think of them as the subconscious, repressed negativity of a person, given form to prey on others while they aren't aware. Persona-users can harness their subconscious, so we have Persona instead of Shadows.

Koro-chan wasn't able to summon yet when he was fighting them, so he was very brave.

Wow. Shadows would sound so cool if they weren't going to destroy us.

There's nothing strange about dangerous things being interesting, I don't think.

I forgot to ask, but what do you do at home?

[yatagarasu]

At home? Well, besides talking to friends over the network, I like getting into arts and crafts, feeding and playing with my crows, and watching ninja shows.

Crows and ninja shows?
